Beaut – Craft Victoria, Melbourne 2005
This exhibition consisted of two separate but related bodies of work:
Muster was a large work consisting of over 70 kangaroo brooches attached to the long wall in the Craft Victoria gallery. The brooches were constructed by attaching printed metal over steel frames. The printed metal was cut from old tin oil cans, biscuit tins, tin trays, chocolate tins, tin pencil cases and a tin globe.
The second body of work was made up of four groups of miniature objects on 3 large plinths. There was a flock of windmills, a swamp of water tanks, a gaggle of gossiping RMBs and a meandering railroad track which carried a fleet of ‘tinnies’ on their journeys across the three plinths.
This project was supported by funding from The Australia Council and Arts Victoria
